Dr. Terry Cooper holds a D.Phil. in Chemistry from Oxford in physical organic chemistry and an MBA from Drexel University specializing in economic methods and international marketing. He has 40 years experience in the chemical and petrochemical industries worldwide, including polymer, plastics and materials R&D, applications and market development, manufacturing and quality systems. This has included 16 years with DuPont and 8 years with ARCO Chemical.
Since 1992, he has been CEO of ARGO Group International, which provides specialized consulting services in chemical and polymer science, materials technology and market and applications development in North America, Europe and Japan. Present areas of major involvement include water-soluble, biodegradable, compostable and biobased plastics; thermoplastics, functional polymers, polymer blends and compatibilization; sustainable packaging; recycling technology; fuel cells; optical polymers and high performance display systems; nanotechnology and other emerging technologies as related to the above areas; and REACH legislation.
