Mike has been involved in chemicals sector for many years. He studied chemistry at universities in Regensburg and Munich, and he did his Ph.D. work at the former chair of the Nobel Prize winner E.O. Fischer at TU München. In parallel he earned his MBA degree with a major in corporate strategy at FernUniversität Hagen. He advised the President of TUM University for two years and started his career in industry with VIAG (now E.ON), an utility and industrial conglomerate. He worked in different capacities, e.g. as a VP R&D of the aroma chemicals division based in Grasse, France and Cincinnati, USA. For three years he was in charge of developing the financing and business model of Europe’ biggest technology project, the Galileo satellite navigation program. Since 2006 Mike has been back in Germany with his wife Kadria and son David. He is managing director of TUM International, the tech transfer organization of Technische Universität München. In addition he advises start-ups and established companies and runs get2m GmbH, his own technology investment company.
