Job Description

The consulting team is required to win proposals and deliver the in the energy, chemicals and petrochemicals fields in support of blue chip clients within the industry and international financial community.

The Senior Analyst will also work on subscription-based reports that focuse on technology, economics and market reports on a broad range of energy and chemical-related industries, from hydrocarbon fuels and feedstocks, petrochemicals and polymers, C1 chemicals, to biorenewables and special topics.

Key areas of responsibility:

• To work with a team of researchers to produce analysis and forecast reports which meet the clients’ needs.
• Conduct primary research to understand key industry issues and develop market data.
• Manage research analysis of industry data through the use of spreadsheets.
• To participate in the delivery of consultancy engagements and subscription reports to exceeds client’s expectations, through research, analysis and report writing.
• To meet internal quality, time and budget constraints.
• Develop and broaden personal knowledge and capabilities, to assist in selling.
• Work closely with clients and assists in building strong clients relationships.
• To participate in the delivery of consultancy engagements to exceeds client’s expectations, through research, analysis and report writing.
• To assist and support team members in all aspects of engagement delivery.
• You are expected to develop and broaden your personal knowledge and capabilities, to assist in selling new work.

Job Requirements

1 Education and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline
• Excellent standard of academic qualifications
• Good first degree in a subject relevant to the energy industry (for example chemical engineering, chemistry )
• Higher degree in relevant subject (masters, PhD)


2 Skills & Experience

• Primary research skills
• Previous industry analysis/consulting, research or process industry experience
• Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft spreadsheets, word processing and presentation applications
• Ability to analyse and problem solve
• Proficient in the use of databases
• Excellent presentation and report writing skills
• Good research skills
• Excellent presentation and report writing skills
• Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
